I occasionally write about my observations and perspectives in technology leadership, much of it focused on the emerging. 

A challenge for so many of us. How do we optimise our operating models for faster delivery at higher quality?

I took inspiration from a one-day workshop a number of years ago .. and wondered if I could build something that might help others anchor the conversation.

In this article I reflect on that meeting, showcase the prototype I built and ponder the idea that building in the age of AI is a core technology leadership capability, or is it dangerous? 

 Cloud solved a technology infrastructure problem, but as the AI transformation rolls through, technology leaders are being asked to lean into something quite different.

How do we as tech leaders get ready to be defined not by the platforms we deploy and manage, but by the quality of the decisions our organisations make? 

Who tells AI who to sacrifice? The idea that AI might need to decide in milliseconds.. who lives, and who is sacrificed. That this scenario isn't a moral decision, it's a reaction within parameters set by humans in the loop, much further left in the equation than perhaps we once thought.
